Badlands Conservation Alliance will be celebrating Earth Day this year by helping Theodore Roosevelt National Park “spiff-up” for the 2016 Centennial birthday of the National Park Service.
Wear your grubbies as we’ll be painting picnic tables and trash cans. Don’t forget your work gloves!
Depending on how quickly we get our official task accomplished, we’ll plan for an explore in the Park after, so pack appropriate hiking gear.
BCA has previously celebrated Earth Day in the Park by graffiti-removal at Buck Hill, litter clean-ups along the Scenic Drive and readying Painted Canyon Visitor Center for its annual spring opening. Each has been a success and volunteer work days give everyone a feeling of accomplishment and ownership.
This is a great event for introducing family and friends to the spirit of BCA. Fill your car with helpers!
