Mike Barthelemy, Director of Native American Studies at Nueta, Hidatsa, Sahnish College, will be teaching a course titled History, Culture, and Customs of the Nueta and Hidatsa: A Case Study into Native America.

Barthelemy is teaching the class online and in-person to students at NHS College; the hybrid class can be audited over Zoom with Humanities North Dakota.

The class will meet sixteen times beginning Wednesday, January 15. There is no fee to audit the class with Humanities North Dakota.

“Explore the history, culture and customs of the Nueta and Hidatsa by studying the relationship between Anthropology, History, Archeology, and Geography as it relates to Native people with the intersection of Native oral history and perspective. This course covers the pre-contact era, providing us with a new vision of the indigenous continent before European impact.”
